Hi, my name is Arly Helm. I have a BA and MS in Nutrition, did my master's
research on breastfeeding, presented my findings in a poster session at
Georgetown U. Med Ctr's "Capture the Spirit: Baby Friendly Hospital
Initiative," earned my CLE at Evergreen with Molly Pessl, passed the IBCLC
board exams last year, breastfed my two sons, just got legislation passed
in Utah protecting public breastfeeding moms/babies, have served on the
board of directors of the Utah Coalition to Promote Breastfeeding for 3
years, member of ILCA, member of the Intermountain Health Care Corporate
Breastfeeding Project Team, employed as a lactation consultant at the only
hospital in our area. Will be attending the Physician's Conference in
Chicago and hope to attend the ILCA conference as well.
Love dogs, love mountains, love to go hiking and camping. Like to
watercolor. Work mornings only as my younger son is in morning
kindergarten.
I live in the northeastern corner of Utah, 1/2 hour from Idaho and 1 hour
from Wyoming. We have snow 6 months of the year, at one mile altitude.
It's still beautiful here.
