Here's Q #2 from coworker: Mom is prep'ing for open adoption & has been pumping
for at least 2 wks, approx ev 3-4 hrs at home w/hospital quality pump. She has
never been pregnant. Mom works full time as CNM in an east coast hospital. She
is now observing what she describes as an 'orangey oil' coming from her nipples.
Not a measurable amt. Just a couple of drops for a fingertip curiosity. She
says it is not bloody discharge, but would like to know what it is. She has not
seen this in her professional experience, and is not comfortable approaching
coworkers with this concern. It's a little early for her to be producing
colostrum. Any suggestions?
