A note mostly for Fiona - nice to hear an Australian slant on things, it's
been awhile. Where in Australia are you? Now business:
The LRC (NMAA) did an extensive search about Milton and thrush and are
probably still following the subject. Contact Jan or Philippa and ask. Also,
Lisa Amir has done a lot of work on thrush, you can reach her through the LRC
or NMAA or ALCA.
For Kathy A: Milton is hypochlorite. Therefore, its 'killing' power is
greatly reduced by any organic material, and things must be free of milk
before Milton is used.
For those wondering what the LRC is, it is the Lactation Resource Centre of
NMAA. It is an excellent resource library, staffed by knowledgeable IBCLCs
and NMAA Counsellors. Unless they have changed their fax number, it was:
61-3-894-3270. I don't think they are on the internet.
