I vote for saying "no" to the whole shebang. If you say nothing and pull out
the coupons, flyers, etc. they will continue to appear in ever increasing
numbers. If you refuse to accept the entire packet, the other advertisers
will put pressure on the companies to delete the formula ads. Maybe they
make a formula-free packet. If they don't they might if there is enough call
for them.
Related item: In the Sept. '95 Pediatrics, W____ has several ads for ABM
that purport to be pro BF. They offer free support literature too.
(surprise, surprise). The latest thing to add is nucleotides according to
them.
To those of you who are asking about costs of purchasing formula, have you
asked your food services department to tell you what they pay for
nutritionals for adults? You might get a ball park figure from that.
That's my $.06 for this.
