Yaffa, I'm with you in that the "draining"  image bothers me. Not sure
why. Maybe it's the negative connotation that what goes down the drain is
dirty (as in bath water) or unnecessary. Even the common expression of
"going down the drain" is negative. Oooooof! Sorry to be such a harpy,
