Thank you, Marie D., for the info about estrogen given for uterine
infection to prevent scarring leading to lowered milk supply. "My" baby's
weight gain decreased because he was being totally formula-fed while mom
was in the hospital, not because her supply had decreased. Since the mom
had no idea as to which antibiotics she was treated with, I doubt if she
would know if she was given estrogen. She was the complacent type, would
never dream of asking a question from hospital staff.......Sigh. Judy K.
