Ted Greiner, who works at Uppsala University and got his PhD working on a
breastfeeding promotion program in Yemen, got me reminiscing...

My husband was accepted to an AID program in Yemen 12 years ago. With my
degree in nutrition, I tried to get an OK to work with or start a
breastfeeding promotion program there...no go, I could get a job as a
SECRETARY they said...

Last year I applied for an open scholarship to the university of my choice.
I chose as my #1 choice Uppsala, to study breastfeeding practices and
participate in bf research. The American group offering the scholarship
turned me down...

We seem destined to meet someday--so here on Lactnet, I say "hello" at last!

Hej do,
Arly Helm in northern Utah
