If you aim to kill a population of dispersal mites, OAV might be better than a Formic Pro single. In addition to being cost-effective, the application is immediate, and since the colony is sealed during the brief process, the environmental variables are minimized.  On the other hand, if NOD claims a single application provides a time-release kill of dispersal mites as they emerge, then maybe. However, many variables are involved in the amount of mites that emerge during the single application period. All of the concerns about efficacy are eliminated with a double dose.
