Thanks for weighing in on this weighty topic. One thing, though: 

"Personally I fail to see the slightest difference."

I think there is a qualitative difference between natural evolution and human selection. It may be aesthetic on my part but to me there is a world of difference between a caƱon and a canal. 

One is a plain and simple conduit for water,  and the other is a natural beauty. I submit the same applies to the difference between breeding and evolution.
