BEE-L is not social media so please do not speculate what others think or might have meant in a previous post.  Please just state your own point of view on your possibly flawed or incomplete understanding of what you read.  

I know personally from decades of posting on BEE-L that no matter how careful one may be in wording or choice of points there is almost a certainty that some will misunderstand and that there are some who sometimes  get bored and pounce on a few lines if they can and create a straw man if they cannot just to create an uproar.

BEE-L is not a place for snowflakes because we discuss things that are controversial or unknown.  In spite of that, BEE-L is remarkably civil and respectful compared to some forums

In that vein, moderators have noticed lately that there has been an increase in personal remarks, both overt and implied, so we will be more vigilant.  

BEE-L should and will continue to be a place where anyone can post without fear of being attacked or denigrated.
