Interesting.  I checked a couple of colonies today since I was in there
removing the some straggler in-frame feeders.  Interestingly, I found the
equivalent of 1 full frame of capped brood.  The colony backfilled down to
the bottom box.

Last year they were foraging chicken food, and sawdust in November.

Apparently, there's quite a bit of American Foulbrood (AFB) along RT 91 in
Western Massachusetts right now.  I wonder if this warm weather is going to
increase the spread through robbing opportunities?
