We have had discussions on these chemicals, both hidden and revealed, going back at least a decade.

At one time I recall in particular, fungicides were the concern. People were wondering why the obvious bee kills when the 'active' ingredient proved to be pretty much benign in tests. The devil, as always, was in the details and it seems that undisclosed 'helper', supposedly 'inert' additives were doing the damage.

Ingredients other than the named ingredients are actually a big problem in medicine, too. Undisclosed 'proprietary', 'trade secret' ingredients are permitted in some products, including some in almost universal use -- and in some cases medicines include disclosed ingredients that are known to be harmful but are used to improve efficacy.

To access and revive previous discussions about surfactants and adjutants, the archives ( see https://www.bee-l.org ).

With luck, we'll get some up-to-date Info too because some of these apparently benign things only revel their subtle but important side-effects after years of use.
