In fairness, the article in question (and linked again below) has inspired quite an engaging, informative and thought-provoking discussion here on the pages of Bee-L.
Questions about ethical beekeeping aside, it is my humble opinion that Mr. Mitchell's research has advanced the science of the winter cluster.
And as to avoiding communicating vociferously about things we don't fully understand... That would severely throttle the amount of posts here on Bee-L - and where's the fun in that? :)
