I understand the EPS or plastics concern - I have visions of abandoned
EPS hives blowing across a field 50 years from now.  Not environmentally
friendly at all.

There is a need for an environmentally friendly bee hive insulating
material.  Unfortunately, the market is not large, the need for
insulation is regional, and if there are good candidates now, I don't
know about them despite my looking.  Also there is vociferous debate
about the need for insulation.

I have no objection to the craft being difficult to master.  I have
problems with the poor success of people getting into the hobby/business
due to antiquated hive design limitations.
