I have observed that there isn't much of an issue if there is enough habitat and forage for both native pollinators and honey bees. Aside from looking at a piece of land and making a hopefully educated guess, I don't know of a way to measure what I think should be called "carrying capacity." Instead, I'm left with the beginning bee school line of "most areas will support at least a hive or two."
Any ideas, references, etc. for measuring carrying capacity?
