I have been using the Perplexity AI for a while. I find that it is good to generate a list of references to available articles on a particular focus. You can use plain english parameters rather than the codified terms necessary to focus a search with most common search engines.  As with any search it is up to the user to check the credentials and control parameters for accuracy.

Perplexity does not try to pretend human intelligence but it is a useful robot to gather a bunch of information packages that match your stated interests.
