Hi, Loretta, 

I'm sure others will have great ideas. Do you have any additional info--when did it start; has baby been evaluated for oral issues, etc.? If so, and baby is okay, then--has her milk ever been cultured prior to starting antibiotics? We see so much antibiotic resistance these days.When a mom has gone through something so long, I really encourage seeing a breast specialist. Weird things like Paget's are rare, but they do happen.

Subject: Persistent nipple pain

I have a mom of a 12 week old with persistent bilateral nipple pain.  She
has been treated with Clindamycin x 10 days TWICE for mastitis.  Has been
on Diflucan proper dose x 10-14 days for yeast.  Nothing helps. Nipple pain
continues.  Mom is mentally exhausted!  What are we missing????
