For those too young to remember, EDB (ethylene dibromide) used to be used to kill wax moths in supers. Small holders would stack the supers and dump the EDB on a rag at the top. EBD was used to ripen fruit such as oranges. It made the news in the 1970s when a guy went into a tank to clean it, after EDB had been stored in there. Died instantly. His supervisor went in after him, same thing. The autopsy showed that their internal organs had liquified in minutes. I seem to recall another incident where a beekeeper tried to use it to gas some bees in an attic. His last job.
