It seems as the bulk of recent scholarly literature on this subject continues to point toward threshold-based selection programs that withhold treatment until required a la the ubiquitous 'Soft Bond' approach espoused by Dr. Kefuss.
Hopefully the seminal work being done in this area by many (including more than a few folks on this forum) will lead to more widespread adoption of this approach and increasing progress in the area of stable resistance/tolerance factors on a population-level.
