Could you please cite figures for the above? My review of water
requirements indicates that there is nothing exceptional about almond water
needs. I used to pollinate a non-irrigated orchard, and that's how they
were traditionally grown.

Again, could you please cite evidence for the above claim. The almond
industry is to be commended for selling every byproduct for animal feed.
Exactly what part of the nuts are thrown away after processing? I would
think that it would be sold as a tasty high-protein livestock feed.
