Hi Kristen,
There are a few physicians in our area that are still comfortable following Dr Jack’s recommendations, though many physicians will start at 10 mg 3 or 4 times a day. Some are willing to titrate up if that dose is ineffective, others will either refer to another physician, or leave it at that dose. We also have a few that want a baseline ECG prior to either starting or increasing. I usually inform them that often 30-40 mg per day is not very effective, and that many women need to take 90mg per day, however, we have had some success with lower doses of 40-60 mg per day. Starting low does take longer to get where we need to go, but does allow to see how the mother tolerates the medication.
Hope this helps.

Subject: Domperidone
Hi Everyone
Just curious what you are suggesting to doctors re prescribing domperidone.
Jack Newman suggests high dosages but the rest of the information and research I read is recommending starting at 10 mg TID
Just want to make sure I am suggesting appropriate dosages for patient.
