Hi Julie-Ann,
i think that this is such new territory, we really don't know. It would be
valuable for all of us to take note of these cases and maybe in the next
year we can compile all of this information and see what we find. Perhaps,
we need to be asking all of our moms if they have seen an effect after
vaccination because if only moms who experience a problem contact us, we
will be getting a very skewed picture. Not sure if the government is
actually tracking any of this, so it may be up to the lactation community
working with moms to get this information. As with any vaccinations, the
goal is to separate coincidence from causation, which takes a lot of data
points to really be significant.
