I agree, the effectivity should be studied on a case to case basis (really
glad it worked for your wife, Frank!!), after ruling out possible causes of
impaired let-down (which, in my experience, like Anne´s and most, is
frequently emotional. I have had one case in which it was due to untreated
hypothyroidism). And thank you for your observations about the side
effects, Anne. The use of any type of exogenous oxytocin always makes an
alarm bell go off in my brain. We are always speaking out about pitocin in
labor and all its possible negative effects, but we seem to suggest
oxytocin nasal spray as if it can do no harm - and we don´t know that.
