A good reminder, Julie. I remember news reports of the major earthquake years ago in Mexico City, where a hospital collapsed and the newborns were separated from their mothers, in a nuraery. I believe it was 8 days before they were got out, during which give they weren't fed. Apparently they were okay. Had they been with their mothers, what a different story it would have been - though most likely the emergency would have been an excuse to provide bottles, since this is so often the case.
