I come from a major university hospital in the US, & we recommend the same pumps you mentioned (not the Finese).  In the hospital, we use the Alexa Elite.  Peggy from SJ

Subject: NICU pump question

Can any of you who work in the NICU please tell me is the Ameda Finesse
being recommended for exclusive pumping and establishing a supply? I was
under the impression that only rental pumps like medela symphony, Lactina
or Ameda elite were ok for this use.  When I looked on Ameda's website it
seemed they were recommending even this pump for someone who had a premie.
Frankly, I was a bit shocked. Can anyone please tell me what their hospital
is recommending?
Thank you
