Never used a pump. Hand expression was enough to persist through early
obstacles, although it was difficult to see ounces of breastmilk in
the hospital fridge compared to my drips and drabs. In the end, we nursed
for 5 years and I don't regret a minute of it. Do have to credit my support
from LLL, even though I am now a BOD member of BfUSA. Getting support for
breastfeeding decisions is so important for continued success, no matter
what the source.
