Hi

A mother with a 12 day old exclusively breastfed baby has called me concerned about her baby's poo. She sent me a couple of photos. It is definitely not a colour I have seen before though otherwise it looks normal consistency. It is a deep orangey brown. There were two like this, before it returned to a more normal - though slightly greenish - appearance.

She also says it is extremely smelly, and the smell has not returned to normal.

The only thing she had given her baby is Infacol - simeticone - drops. I have suggested she stop the Infacol and monitor it.

Her baby is fine otherwise. Of course at present access to GP or health visitors is extremely limited, so any thoughts on this will be good.

Many thanks
Sally
