Many years ago, I was the Lactation Consultant who was "consulted" by the
producer of the movie, The Power of One, a story which takes place in South
Africa (shot in Zimbabwe), and begins with a white orphaned baby being
breastfed by his black nursemaid.  It's a lovely film, and you can find the
trailer at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=atDJc2ow-uY . The breastfeeding
mother and baby were my clients, and the producer wanted "real" shots of
breastfeeding, so he said.  So he consulted someone who knew about
breastfeeding :)   There was some sleight of hand to make it seem as if the
wetnurse was black, but in fact the baby was breastfed by his own mother.

Subject: movies with breastfeeding

Good day all,
 My brother is a marriage and family therapist, organizing a conference
with his colleagues. Part of the conference tradition is airing a feature
film that speaks to family and marital issues. He’s also my brother, so he
asked me for a recommendation of a film where breastfeeding plays some role
in the story, more than a humorous cameo, but unlikely the main theme.
