Thank you for your responses to my query about "burning breast pain"! The patient has noted the burning following feeding and less so after pumping. She has noted infant clenching and pulling (after deep asymmetric latch) more on that side which triggers the spasm and resulting blanched nipple. She has added Mg++, Ca+, Vit D3 supplements, is applying heat, avoiding temp changes. She is successful with pumping so will pump that side for a day or so to improve healing along with heat and massage before, during and after.
I have noted more recent articles regarding Marsha's info on breast benefits of L. fermentum CECT5716. Can anyone offer a purchase source for a quality product and instructions on usage?
