Hi all,

Hope it's ok to ask this on here. My family and I are moving back to the UK
this summer after almost 20 years in San Francisco. I am
currently working as a Lactation Consultant in a hospital setting
(inpatient, outpatient, teaching classes, facilitating support groups.) I
have an IBCLC credential, but am not an RN. I am hoping some UK based folks
would be willing to chat with me about how/where to begin to look for an LC
job there.

From a brief initial search it does not look like there are that many job
openings in the NHS and so far all I have seen require RN certification, is
that an accurate reflection of the current job market?

For context, we currently have no firm location in the UK, ideally I would
find a job ahead of the move and we would plan around that (though that
might be a huge pipe dream!)

Would be really grateful for any and all advice!

Warmly, Rachel.

Rachel Watson, IBCLC
Lactation Consultant, San Francisco
