PTP. This is mother's 5th child and with the other four, she had mastitis once somewhere around the 2-4 month time frame. She denied history of plugged ducts or mastitis repeating. She breastfed her other children successfully for 12 months each. We have discussed lecithin. Would this be beneficial even without the history of plugged ducts? She told me that the mastitis hits her without warning. No feeling of painful breasts first, just the flu-like sysmmptoms and then the pain. I have already talked to her about the timing may be related to when the infant starts to sleep longer and strewtch the timing of feedings out and to be hypervigilant for plugs. I also wondered if the phytolacca might be beneficial?
