when I think of STS or kangaroo care, I go to Gene Cranston Anderson's work in late 80's, early 90's. my interesting find of the day is a 1993 WHO publication from Dr Audrey Naylor's collections. "Thermal Control of the newborn: a practical guide." In the middle of the book is Skin-to-skin contact (the Kangaroo Method). 1993 folks! Why does it take medicine, HCPs, hospitals so long to evolve and include new findings???? How many hospitals today practice STS? and according to this booklet it isn't for just one "magic" hour! I get tired some days... Pat in SNJ
