There was a study on milk composition of insulin- dependent diabetic women in J Pediatr Gastroenterol Nutr 1987 by Nancy Butte et all.
She found that the breastmilk glucose concentrations were higher in the diabetic women vs nondiabetic.
There was also a question about this topic in 2012 in Infant Risk. The answer was that the breastmilk glucose level is 1/4th of the maternal serum level, but Infant Risk didn't give the citation.
We clearly need more research on this.
