 Mom's immune factors were already beginning to be produced as soon as she started to get the viral illness or reoccurance.  Plus baby was already getting exposed before mom even realized she was sick. So I think continuing BFing is important to keep the baby well.  Baby need the immunity factors, they'll still live in the same house.

 Hale said in 2007 that based on sero epidemiologic examination of breastfed or bottlefed infants 12-23 months of age in Japan, breastmilk is not a significant source for early EBV infection.
