Hi all,

In the Spainsh version of Lactnet there are a couple fo cases being
discussed, breastfeeding women with long-standing milk blebs.
I´d like to ask, are there any good scientific articles about the
composition and types of milk blebs? I can´t find anything beyond basic
assumptions and typical management (suckling, hand expression, warm salty
soak,mechanical removal, topical antibiotic).

I think people call anything that is white or yellow on the tip of a nipple
a milk bleb - but this does not make sense.

Sometimes blebs are crusty and white, sometimes they are adipose yellow,
sometimes they are on the nipple, sometimes they are subcutaneous.
Sometimes milk flows out when you scrape the bleb, sometimes you have to
express and fat comes out, sometimes blood, sometimes it´s easy to remove,
sometimes it´s impossible, some get better with topical antibiotic, some
don´t need any... to me this sounds like there are diferent types of bleb
compositions and locations...

Any science to any of this???
