This topic brings up a great question, I think. When a mother is nursing using a nipple shield and you have the case where the infant is transferring a partial feeding, but not a full feeding, what does everyone think about having her supplement with a bottle versus supplementing without an artificial nipple since she's already using an artificial nipple anyway? Or do you still recommend that she not supplement with a bottle?
