Folkx don't get hurt with hand expression; there's several studies
supporting  early hand expression as a way to collect newborn milk without
injury, while increasing supply.

Debra's horror stories of pump induced injury reflect some systems issues:
overworked and under-educated staff being one.

Also the days where we could know all the pump companies and their products
are long-gone.  As a result of the ACA, there are now more pumps being sold
than ever before as well as more sizes and styles of flanges than ever
before. Keeping one's knowledge up to date is important and requires more
effort than ever before.

I've been taking workshops from Jeanette Mesite Frem; her website is
BabiesinCommon.com  The number of breastfeeding gadgets increases by the
week.
