PTP. I have a client who has been very successfully relactating for her 2
month old baby. The mother is a woman living with HIV who really wants to
breastfeed. Since birth, the baby has been bottle-fed with formula, donor
breastmilk and lately the mother’s stored, frozen, pasteurized EBM. With
the full endorsement of her up-to- date HIV clinician and paediatrician she
is planning to start breastfeeding direct later this month. I’ve been
providing information on HIV and breastfeeding, and strategies to increase
her breastmilk supply but in anticipation of putting baby to breast she
would like to access face-to-face help from an IBCLC in Raleigh, Cary,
Durham, or Chapel Hill. Naturally, we are looking for an IBCLC who would
feel happy about supporting a mother to achieve her ambition in these
unique circumstances.

If you can help, please contact me at my email address below.
