As I understand, scorpion-poison differs not from any other poison 'injected' by an animal (bee, wasp). It is a large protein, which either does not pass into the milk or does not harm the baby when it does. It might be a good idea to search on 'poison', how they are chemically built.

I live in an area (northern europe) where there is nothing besides bees, wasps and mosquitos - so I don't know how this holds up against snakes. But I have investigated this for scared mothers after wasp-stinges and bumped also on 'scorpion'

Onderwerp: Scorpion sting

Greetings to everyone. A mother of a seven month old breastfed baby in
Zimbabwe has been stung by a scorpion. Would it be safe for her to
continue breastfeeding? I can only find one source with no refs to say
that past the newborn stage it would be safe. All the other research I can
access on PubMed is about mother rats deliberately given scorpion venom
during pregnancy, very little on lactation.

Thanks if you can help.
