If you go with Ameda, go with the Platinum multi-user pump and not the
Elite in my opinion. The kit is the same, but the Platinum pump has more
features and is easy to clean in hospital setting. If it's a matter of
hospital bedside pumps, I really like these and have previously worked with
them many years. Thing to consider: I do not like the Ameda hand pump, if
it is the same squeeze type handle, which I found hard to use and put
together, even before I had arthritis problems. So if all of the products
will be Ameda, and the hand pump is one of the items offered, that is a
consideration. Other products as well would need to be reviewed, if you
will be all Ameda or all Medela, e.g. nipple shields.

The Platinum, as far as I know, does not have the "premie card" or premie
mode, which is used for the nicu population.

The personal pump, Ameda Purely Yours, is more flimsy and less effective
(anecdotally IMO) compared to Medela.

If there are rental options in hospital or in community, then consider if a
mom would have to purchase a new kit, e.g to convert from Ameda in hospital
to Medela rental in community.

I have had good/poor customer service from each company over decades. See
what the customer service situation is, as far as your salesperson being
responsive to your needs, inventory, back orders, defects, etc.
