Permission to post: Mom of a 2-month-old with oversupply is returning to work. Baby now refuses bottles of both her previously frozen and freshly pumped milk. She says the frozen milk has both a soapy smell and taste (she has been tasting it) and that her freshly pumped milk "sours" and develops a rancid odor within two hours. She has to scald her milk immediately after pumping (to the point where she scalds it at work rather than waiting to bring it home) to halt the process. (Baby accepts the scalded milk.)

Has anyone seen this before? Is this just high lipase activity or also rapid oxidation? Any suggestions? We have covered milk storage and handling basics, examined her diet (healthy, no supplements, no fish oils, no medications) and are working on regulating her oversupply.
