I have the opportunity to represent the US Lactation Consultant Association
at an FDA workshop on the evaluation of the safety of drugs used during
lactation. As part of my presentation I would like to have a grasp of where
all of you obtain your information on medications used during lactation and
how you use this information. Would you be so kind as to email me at
[log in to unmask] with answers to the following questions. I would so
much appreciate this.
1. Where do you obtain your information on medications used during
lactation?
2. What are the gaps in drug information relative to lactation?
3. How is drug information communicated to you?
4. How is drug information communicated to patients/mothers?
5. What do you wish we knew more about relative to medication use during
lactation?
6. Let me know if you are a lactation consultant, nurse, physician, doula,
midwife, etc
Thanks so much
