I apologize for the incorrect subject line. I meant anxiety, not depression.
Clonazepam is a terrible choice for postpartum anxiety, especially with drowsiness side effect already occurring, because of its extremely long half-life, whereby it can start accumulating over time, so timing breastfeeding and dosing will not work well.
A much better choice would be buspiron (Buspar), which has much better pharmacokinetics for breastfeeding, especially much shorter half-life.
PS: Freezing does not affect drug potency.
