My apologies if this has already been answered. Alcohol leaves breastmilk through passive diffusion across a concentration gradient. That is why you do not have to pump and dump usually. But leaving in an open container wouldn't work. I found this handout from Canada's health service very helpful. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=http://www.beststart.org/resources/alc_reduction/pdf/Alcohol_desk_ref_EN_2016_fnl.pdf&ved=0ahUKEwiqnOrWw7HUAhWFOj4KHaJ9Ab8QFggdMAA&usg=AFQjCNEDutr1WKfUD2b7A4uUCjzqhQ5JXQ&sig2=f7uPAqyDFfyTwe01J0uMlA Tricia Shamblin Sent from Yahoo Mail on Android *********************************************** Archives: http://community.lsoft.com/archives/LACTNET.html To reach list owners: [log in to unmask] Mail all list management commands to: [log in to unmask] COMMANDS: 1.
