Dear Lactnet Friends:
This baby needs so much. I searched for Find a Lactation Consultant on the
ILCA.org site, and got nothing.
"a
baby girl three days ago, she was born with a C section. They took this
decision a week before she was due because the mother had a very high blood
pressure for some weeks.
The baby was put in a warmer with 25% oxygen because she has some apnea
episode and IV fed.
Now the situation is this: the mother is recovering (still high pressure)
the baby was transferred in a different hospital because of her apnea
(apparently they could not treat her), nobody is neither breastfeeding and
touching her, blood test is fine, lungs and heart work fine . Doctors are
thinking of a MRI to check if any brain damage, one of them refuses to do
such a thing on a baby, the father is freaking out, the mother hasn’t seen
the baby, and we are worried…..
T
he baby is in Milano
Thanks for any name or idea.
warmly,
