Hi Cathleen,
When is her baby due? Does she live in the states? I go by Dr. Newman's
protocol: https://ibconline.ca/induction/ for inducing lactation. His plan
requires 4-6 months (ideally 6), but any amount of time is helpful! He
recommends Microgestin, which is estrogen/progesterone in lower doses than
standard BCP. He also recommends Domperidone, which is illegal to prescribe
in the states, so I just substitute herbals while teaching.
Hope this helps!
