Hi all,
I admit to a few concerns about taking herbs and
breastfeeding when mothers don't want to take medication.
In fact, they are taking a medication. It just
happens to be in herbal form. The amount of
plant product that is needed to help with
symptoms is more than we would use in a normal
diet. Thus, if I'm working with a mum who states
that she doesn't want to take any medication, I
do provide options. I also state that the amount
of plant based product and herbs will be over
what we would use for seasoning or at a normal
rate, and this may be seen as medicinal or another type of medicine.
What do others think and how do you manage use of herbs and their use?
Thanks,
