Look at the baby's growth curve and his growth labs (lytes, Ca, Phos, alk phos, H/H)
The NeoSure is to give additional protein, calcium and phosphorus for some catch-up growth.
He should receive it until he is fully transitioned over to direct breastfeeding (which usually takes weeks to months) and his labs are normal.  Some extremely preterm infants like this require 3-6 months of supplementation/fortification.
Yes, slow growth is good for the body, but not for the brain.
