I used the Canadian Best Start for these staff, I asked for a nurse from each non maternity ward to volunteer to be a champion and then she did the course. The champion will then be a resource point, with my support, to care for women/babies who are admitted for a non breastfeeding related problem (ie appendicitis) so we can preserve their breastfeeding relationship.

Subject: staff education

I was wondering if any one has heard of a short educational video or computer based training for general hospital staff education? I am not talking OB nurses but nurses from med/sug units, ER, OR, staff from security, etc? Do not wish to reinvent the wheel.

Thanks

Allyson Michaels
