It is not only nurses giving the mothers nipple creams that is the problem,
but also the advice given by other parents on Facebook and other support
groups, which delays getting to the root of the problem. It is frustrating
to hear advice, time and time again, from group members who know virtually
nothing about the parent's situation (but are eager to help), that they
should use this product or this bottle or use this formula or that feeding
method. And it is even more frustrating when suggestions to see an IBCLC to
find the cause of the problem are ignored.
